実りの秋！千枚田でも稲刈り

実りの秋がやってきました！

山の急な斜面に切り開かれた大小約800枚の田んぼが連なっている中山の千枚田でも稲刈りがすすんでいます。

『日本の棚田百選』にも選ばれている美しい棚田で、暑さがやわらいでくると、散策にもオススメの場所です。

瀬戸内国際芸術祭2025の竹の作品もありますが、会期外は中には入れませんのでご注意ください。

 

The rice harvest is in full swing at the Nakayama Senmaida, a stunning series of terraced rice paddies carved into the steep slopes of the mountains.
Nakayama’s terraced fields have been selected as one of the “100 Best Terraced Rice Fields in Japan,” recognized for both their beauty and historical importance. As the summer heat begins to ease, this area becomes an ideal spot for a peaceful walk surrounded by nature and Japanese rural charm.
